About CCIM

Meet the people behind whole-person care.

A team-centered practice for people who want more time, more context, and a clearer conversation about what comes next.

What to expect from CCIM

Begin with the full story.

CCIM starts with your history, concerns, prior findings, and goals—not a single symptom in isolation. The first conversation helps decide what deserves attention next. Read the detailed approach on Our approach.

01

Bring the full context.

Your symptoms, timeline, prior care, and daily life give the team a better place to start.

02

Connect the relevant pieces.

Medical, endocrine, microbiome, nutrition, movement, and lifestyle context can be considered together.

03

Leave with a clear next step.

The plan is discussed in plain language, shaped around your priorities, and refined as new information comes in.

Dr. Dushyant Viswanathan, MD, ABIM, ABOIM, AACE, ABOPM, HMDCB, is a multi-board-certified integrative internist who specializes in Enteroimmunology and Endocrinology, a paradigm to reverse chronic disease. He is the founder and CEO of The Columbia Center for Integrative Medicine (CCIMHealth), serving patients at multiple sites on both coasts since 2012, with a focus on chronic disease reversal through painstaking diagnostic and therapeutic efforts to balance the gut microbiome and endocrine systems. He is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), a faculty speaker at the Age Management Medicine Group (AMMG), director of Network Medicine for the American Board of Precision Medicine, and a board-certified Hospice Medical Director. He served as Department Chief of Internal Medicine from 2017 to 2020 at Lompoc Valley Medical Center in Lompoc, CA. He is the rare holistic doctor who is as comfortable teaching nutrition and mindfulness practices to patients battling chronic disease as rounding on critically ill patients in intensive care. CCIMHealth offers integrative medicine training programs to physician assistant (PA) programs and a functional medicine training program open to practitioners. Dr. DV created a women’s health endocrinology service focused on improving estrogen metabolism in patients with complex endocrine conditions such as endometriosis, menorrhagia, obesity, PCOS, and Hashimoto thyroiditis, leading to resolution of symptoms and titration off of medication. CCIMHealth’s microbiome-balancing model is useful for multiple pathologies, including inducing the largest ever reduction in prostate size documented (177cc to 78cc over the course of 1 year), multiple cases of Graves disease reversal in the past 2 years, and many cases of reversal of IBS, Type 2 diabetes, and chronic fatigue.
