CCIM health programs

Programs, mapped to the whole person.

Five focused pathways connect the microbiome, endocrine health, nutrition, joint repair, chronic pain, and metabolic recovery.

Choose your point of entry

Your care does not have to fit a one-size-fits-all template.

Each program below is presented as a complete chapter. Read the details, follow related areas of care, then bring your questions to a comprehensive consultation.

Program 01 · Chronic disease

Chronic disease reversal service

This is offered in our Woodland Hills, Sherman Oaks, California, Columbia, Maryland, Charleston, South Carolina sites, and is focused on resolving chronic inflammation, improving health from the root source. We help with all of your health goals.

01 — Internal environment

Balance the gut microbiome

The way we are successful at reversing chronic inflammation is to balance the gut microbiome specifically to promote a robust diverse bacterial population with not overgrowth of yeast and no mycotoxin induced inflammation.

This also involves chelation of toxic heavy metals and replacement of deficient micronutrients.

02 — Endocrine layer

Connect inflammation and hormones

Usually, there is an endocrine problem that means hormone imbalances induced by colonic inflammation that will affect every organ. There is endocrinopathy and paracrinopathy associated with every chronic disease.

For example, GLP-1 deficiency, hypercortisolism and vitamin C deficiency are present in all diabetics. We will help with hormone balancing to address this and usually this helps us resolve chronic fatigue, insomnia and digestive problems, IBS, etc.

03 — Individual food lifestyle

Built around the person

We also prominently involve nutrition and our approach is to create custom food lifestyle for each patient that may involve more prebiotic and fiber for one patient, but it may involve less for another.

While we live in an age of cult-based thinking about food, we know that one-size- fits- all doesn’t work; your food lifestyle must include your ancestry, your microbiome, your genetics and your personal preferences of course and your lifestyle. For example, night shift workers will have a different food lifestyle than somebody who works during the day.

04 — Charleston, SC

Program 02 · Women’s health

Women's health endocrinology

We are on a mission to create coherent women's health medical services which are sorely needed in our time. We know that estrobolome, which is how the gut microbiome regulates estrogen in the body, is the root cause for many estrogen-related illnesses such as breast cancer, endometriosis, dysautonomia, fibroids, anxiety, allergies, painful heavy periods.

01 — First visit

Begin with listening

We start with a comprehensive evaluation; listening to you tell us what you are going through is the BEST diagnostic test.

02 — Cycle-aware testing

Map hormone patterns

Furthermore, because of the 28-day menstrual cycle, we use cycle mapping testing using the DUTCH test which is a urine steroid hormone metabolite test or salivary hormone testing, which can be done over the course of 30 days or on day 21.

We also do mid cycle testing as well. Of course, blood testing is also useful.

03 — Treatment toolkit

Coordinate multiple approaches

Our treatments for women's health include bioidentical hormones, herbal treatments, botanicals, supplements, lifestyle changes, yoga therapy, and more.

04 — PCOS

Address connected patterns

We also address PCOS by lessening the ovarian hyperandrogenism and insulin resistance associated with this which also originates from the gut microbiome. Treatments for PCOS include metformin, GLP-1s, prebiotics, Inositol and quercetin. Usually, this is reversible.

05 — Hashimoto’s

Address the estrobolome

Hashimoto’s also involves addressing the estrobolome and we reverse that with estrogen balancing treatments such as indole-3-carbinol, calcium-D-glucarate along with GLP-1s to optimize weight and possibly antifungal treatments to lessen tendency towards Th2 style inflammation, which is the hallmark of autoimmune disease.

06 — Wider lens

Consider future health

It is also important to know that any disease that happens predominantly more in women likely involves the estrobolome and balancing the estrobolome will improve future health for women.

Program 03 · Men’s health

Men's hormones & prostate health

When estrobolome is aberrant in men, that is the root cause of thyroid disease and prostate disease in men.
Prostate microbiome program177 mL 70 mL

Our prostate microbiome program involves helping patients decrease the size of the prostate; in fact, we have the record for the largest decrease in prostate size ever documented using noninvasive treatments where a prostate that was 177 mL decreased in its size 70 mL over the course of two years.

01 — Connected imbalances

Resolve the contributing pattern

We do this by resolving the hormone imbalances such as low testosterone and low vitamin D and insulin resistance along with resolving the prostate microbiome (bacterial) imbalances.

02 — Hormone balancing

Specialized care for men

We specialize in balancing testosterone in men; we use our gut microbiome treatments to address the root cause, while using testosterone and enclomiphene to balance.

Joint repair & chronic pain

Chronic pain and musculoskeletal programs:

Joint repair pathway

This is offered in our Woodland Hills, California and Columbia, Maryland offices, specifically with using a joint prolotherapy, ozone treatments, acupuncture, yoga therapy and integrative medicine treatments to resolve chronic pain.

Since 2011

Root-cause chronic pain care

As we started as a chronic pain service back in 2011 in Maryland, we are experts in chronic pain by addressing the root cause.

Expanded toolkit

Multiple treatment options

If you are inquiring about peptides, yes, we do make use of them. We do have a large tool kit to help our patients in chronic pain
